discussion for parents, mental health professionals, and educators

Parenting After Assisted Reproduction: What You Wanted to Know But Were
Afraid to Ask

Parents' Questions:
* What is the best way to tell my child about her/his genetic history?
* Why do I need to tell my child anything at all about a donor?

Children's Questions:
* Who is the donor? What is she/he like?
* Would meeting the donor tell me something about myself?

Highlights include video interviews with offspring conceived using donor
gametes.

PANEL:

Moderator - Sheila Feig Brown, Ph.D., Faculty, William Alanson White
Institute; Parent Center Study Group Leader: Clinical Interventions with
First-Time Parents;  Editor: What do Mothers Want? Developmental
Perspectives, Clinical Challenges.

Nancy Freeman-Carroll, Psy.D., is a Clinical Psychologist-Psychoanalyst
specializing in support for individuals/families experiencing infertility,
pursuing family creation with assisted conception; post-partum, early
development and parenting.

Anne Malave, Ph.D. is a Clinical Psychologist-Psychoanalyst whose private
practice focuses on all aspects of family-building including infertility,
adoption, and third party reproduction; Chair, RESOLVE National Support
Group Oversight Committee; Group Leader and Columnist, The Adoptive Parents
Committee;  Consultant, Reproductive Specialists of New York.

Allison Rosen, Ph.D. is a Psychologist-Psychoanalyst for the New Hope
Fertility Center, Center for Human Reproduction, Reproductive Specialists of
New York, Fertility Preservation Institute, co-founder Fertility
Preservation SIG, ASRM, Member of Advisory Boards of Fertile Hope and
Sharsheret; former Executive Director of RESOLVE; Editor, Frozen Dreams.
